Choosing a Patio Heater

When the sun goes down and the days get shorter, stay outside a little longer with a patio heater that will keep your friends and family warm year-round. Choose the right style of patio heater and keep the party going all night long.

Our selection of radiant infrared heaters are a great option to heat your outdoor space because they heat the objects and people in the range of the heater. This is unlike standard patio heaters which heat the air. When the air is heated, it can easily cooled down and blown away.

Our patio heater selection includes wall and ceiling mounted, freestanding patio heaters, tabletop patio heaters, and more. Maximize your patio space by choosing a wall mounted patio heater or hanging patio heater. The simplest option, however, is a tall patio heater. These freestanding models are easy to use and maintain and they’re easy to move.

You will also need to determine the fuel type of your patio heater. Natural gas patio heaters are the most permanent patio heater option since installation includes running a natural gas line. They’re very convenient because they do not require refilling a tank. Propane patio heaters simply require a propane tank to heat your outdoor room. You can purchase small propane tanks to allow ease of mobility for freestanding and tabletop models or a larger tank to avoid having to constantly refill. Electric patio heaters are often the easiest patio heaters to install (though some models require an electrician) and they’re capable of operating without air flow. They usually have lower BTUs than gas heaters, producing a gentler heat.
