Sunbrella Fabric

Style, Function, & So Much More

Sunbrella® fabrics deliver on the 3 C's of desire: Comfort, Color, & Cushion; giving you the ability to have everything you love about your indoor furnishings outside. Sunbrella is unmatched in strength to withstand rain, UV rays and even the occasional mishap with barbecue sauce or red wine. Easy to clean, plus mildew and fade resistant, Sunbrella fabric keeps your outdoor space worry-free, colorful and comfortable for years to come. Sunbrella fabrics have a 5-year warranty against becoming unserviceable due to color or strength loss from normal usage and exposure conditions, including sunlight and mildew.

Sunbrella fabrics are manufactured using a solution-dyed process introduced by Glen Raven Mills in 1961 as an alternative to traditional cotton canvas. This process gives Sunbrella the strength to defy the elements of nature without fading or seeing degradation from mildew or harmful UV rays. The color is actually infused throughout the fibers giving a strong advantage over other fabrics where the color is only on the surface of the fiber leading to noticeable fading.

Glen Raven Mills is committed to the environment and has made significant strides in ensuring that you can continue to enjoy the great outdoors for years to come. Their manufacturing facilities are ISO certified, powered by solar, and Sunbrella is a recognized member of the South Carolina Environmental Excellence Program for recycling and waste reductions. Sunbrella fabric is environmentally friendly: it lasts longer, and people use less fabric and generate less waste compared to other fabrics that succumb to the harsh elements of nature. The manufacturing waste from Sunbrella is also recycled and converted into materials such as felt, automotive insulation, and filtration. You can even take part in the recycling effort by sending in your older Sunbrella cushions when you are ready to replace them.
